Raids and attendance

Summary

Open List Raids → Create Raid to record an event's date, groups, attendees, and attendance credit. Check the form, then press Create, or Update when editing an existing raid. To record an absence that counts against attendance, include the character with zero credit; leaving them out does not count them absent.

How do I create a raid?

A raid records one event on a particular date. It can hold attendance, notes, log links, and links to awarded loot. It is separate from a regular raid group.

Choose List Raids from your guild's navigation, then select Create Raid. You need permission to create raids.

1. Enter a name and date/time.
2. Choose the dungeons and raid groups involved.
3. Add the characters whose attendance you want to record.
4. Review each character's attendance credit and any notes.
5. Press Create. When editing an existing raid, press Update instead.

The form offers up to four dungeons, four raid groups, four log links, and 160 character rows.

The date/time picker uses your browser's local time. TMB converts it to UTC when saving. Check your computer's time zone before entering a raid time.

Can I copy a previous raid?

Yes. Open List Raids, find the raid, and select Copy beside it. Review the name, date, groups, dungeons, and raid notes in the new form, then press Create.

Copied characters start with full attendance credit. Their excuses, remarks, and attendee notes are cleared. Log links are also cleared, and the old raid's loot is not copied.

Nothing new is saved until you save the form. Copying is a shortcut for creating another event, not a frozen copy of the original history.

How do I add attendees?

Choose existing guild characters manually, or use the option to add raiders when selecting a raid group. Automatic group loading includes both main and general raiders.

Adding a group fills the form; it does not confirm who attended. Check the list and credit values. Characters added by the automatic helper start with full credit. Existing attendees are not added a second time.

Changing the group selection is not a replacement for reviewing attendees already in the form. To start over, use the clear-attendees control. After confirmation, it clears the attendees, their credit details and notes, and the selected raid groups. Save only after rebuilding the form as intended.

Can I load attendees from Warcraft Logs?

Yes, when your guild has a Warcraft Logs account connection available.

Add the report links to the log fields, then use Import Characters from Warcraft Logs. TMB can combine names from multiple reports and match them to existing guild characters. Characters already in the form are not added again.

Read the matched and missing-name feedback, then review the actual attendee list. The import prepares the form; you still need to save the raid. It does not replace a check for missing, absent, or benched characters.

For missing characters, use the separate character-creation option. Add them to the guild, reload the raid editor, and import again. Save any changes you need to keep before reloading. Missing names do not become temporary guests.

How does attendance credit work?

Each character row has Attendance Credit. The slider offers 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The pencil beside the heading reveals number fields for finer values between 0 and 1: for example, 0.5 means 50%.

Set credit according to your guild's policy, then save the raid. Moving a slider does not save by itself.

A character missing from the attendee list is not automatically counted absent. To record an absence that counts against attendance, include the character with zero credit and leave Excused unchecked.

For eligible raids, TMB averages the character's saved, non-excused credit entries. For example, one full-credit raid and one zero-credit raid give 50%. If the second raid has no entry for that character, it does not supply that zero.

The guild's attendance lookback window and applicable viewing filters affect which raids are included. Very recent raids may not appear in statistics immediately because attendance calculations have a delay.

What do Excused and remarks do?

Excused leaves the character on the raid but excludes their entry from the attendance average. It is different from giving zero credit.

Remarks describe what happened:

• Late
• Unprepared
• Late & unprepared
• No call, no show
• Gave notice
• Benched

Choosing a remark does not set the credit or excuse the character. Set those controls separately. For example, Gave notice does not automatically check Excused.

What notes and log links can I save?

The raid has a public note and an officer note, each up to 250 characters. Each attendee can also have public and officer notes, up to 250 characters each.

Public notes are for guild viewers. Officer notes require the relevant viewing permission and are hidden in Streamer Mode.

You can attach log links without importing attendees. Attendee import is a separate action. If an older raid still uses the legacy single-log field, follow the form's instruction to remove that old link and save before adding links through the newer fields.

What is the difference between ignored, cancelled, and archived?

Archiving alone does not stop a raid counting in character attendance statistics. Use the ignore-attendance setting if that is your intention. The matrix and the statistics treat archived raids differently.

These settings are separate. To reverse one, edit the raid, clear that setting, and save. Find archived raids through the archive view. Unarchiving does not also clear a cancellation or ignore-attendance setting.

Where do I review the raid and its loot?

Open the raid from the raids list. Its detail page shows the saved attendees, credit, remarks, visible notes, log links, groups, dungeons, and linked loot.

Saving attendees does not assign loot. Use Loot assignment and select the raid to link awards to it. For correcting individual awards, see Received loot.

You can edit a saved raid with the appropriate permission. Review your changes and save; a leave-page warning is not autosave.
