What is That's My BIS (TMB)?

Summary

TMB helps your guild record loot history, and optionally share the items players want or who should receive them.

Sign in with Discord, open your guild, and create your character—or ask an officer to link one they already added. Your guild chooses how to use TMB; you might simply be recording loot history, or you might be asking players what items they want and planning who should receive them.

TMB's approach doesn't tell guilds how they should do things; it simply gives them the tools to make informed decisions.

• You can record your guild's loot history.
• You can let players show you what items they want.
• You can plan ahead for what player is going to get an item when it drops.
• You can track player attendance and raid history.

A guild can do all of these things or just the parts it wants. Each individual guild can choose how it wants to use TMB.

Can our guild just use TMB to track our loot history and nothing else? How?

Yes. You can use TMB just to keep loot history. You do not need wishlists or prios.

If you use Gargul or RCLootCouncil to record your raid's loot, export that history as CSV. On your guild's Assign Loot page, import the CSV, check the items and recipients, then submit it.

Check the addon's instructions and make sure it is recording your awards before relying on it for loot history. After handing out loot, check that the awards appear in the addon's history so you have data to export.

You can also enter each award by hand on TMB. This takes more work, but it lets you record loot even if you did not use an addon.

What are wishlists?

A wishlist is a player's ranked list of items they want on one of their characters. The player puts the items in order. Other guild members can see the list unless the guild has restricted wishlist visibility.

Each guild decides what that order means for its own loot rules.

Do we need to use wishlists?

No. Only if your guild wants to.

What are prios?

A prio (short for priority) ranks characters for an item to show who should receive it when it drops.

A wishlist answers: "Which items does Sam want most?"

A prio answers: "Who should get this item first?"

Players make their characters' wishlists. Officers set prios. A prio records the guild's plan; it does not automatically hand out loot in the game.

Prios are especially useful for loot council, where officers plan who should receive an item. Wishlists are more flexible: a guild can use them to learn what players want whether or not they are using prios.

Do we need to use prios?

No. Only if your guild wants to.

Do we need to organize all of our raids through TMB?

No. To use TMB effectively, all you need to do is record your loot history and import it into TMB. Using an addon like Gargul or RCLootCouncil is the easiest way to do this.

How is a guild organized on TMB?

Each TMB guild is linked to a Discord server and a World of Warcraft expansion. For example, you might create a guild for WoW: Forever, and link it to your guild's Discord server.

A guild has members. A member is a person in that guild. A member can have one or more characters they play in the game. For example, if Sam plays a warrior and a priest, Sam is one member with two characters.

A character is unclaimed when it has not been linked to a member. An officer can link it to the right member.

Guilds can also choose to record raids and make raid groups.

A raid is one raid event on a particular date. It can record who attended and what loot they received.

A raid group is a regular team of characters. It lets you keep that team's prios and attendance together. A guild can have one raid group or several.

How do I join my guild on TMB?

Select Sign In and use your Discord account. Use the same Discord account that you use on your guild's Discord server. TMB checks whether or not you are in that guild's Discord server before giving you access to it. If the guild requires specific Discord roles to gain access to their TMB guild, TMB checks those too.

Open your guild from the TMB home page once signed in, or use the link your guild may have shared. The first time you open a guild, TMB creates your member profile within that guild. The guild's settings decide which pages you can view or edit.

If your guild is missing, check that:

• You signed in with the same Discord account you use in your guild's Discord server.
• Someone has already registered a TMB guild using that server.
• The TMB bot is still on the server.

A guild officer can also check the guild's access roles to see whether you should have access.

If you were just given a Discord role, wait a short time and reopen the guild. TMB briefly remembers access checks, so a role change may not appear immediately. If access is still missing, ask an officer to check the guild's role settings.

Once you have joined, create your character on TMB. If an officer has already added your character, ask them to link it to your member profile instead of creating another copy. See Members and characters for more detail.

How do I create my character?

Open your member profile and select Create character. Enter your character's in-game name and details, then press Save.

Check whether your character already exists first. If an officer added it earlier, ask them to link that character to your member profile. You do not need another copy.

You can create more than one character. Each is a separate record on TMB, so your main and alts can have different lists and loot history.

What if I signed in with the wrong Discord account?

Select Sign Out on TMB, then sign in again. Check which Discord account your browser is using during sign-in. If it is the wrong one, switch accounts in Discord before continuing.

Changing your Discord name is different from using another Discord account. TMB identifies the account, not just its display name.

If you have moved to a new Discord account, join the guild's Discord server with that account and ask an officer to give it the required roles. Then open the guild on TMB to create its member profile.

Ask an officer to link your existing characters to the new member profile instead of creating duplicate characters. Your character lists and loot history stay with those character records. This does not merge the two member profiles or transfer TMB guild ownership.

How do I register a guild?

The person registering a guild needs to own its Discord server or have administrator permission there.

1. Open the Register Guild page linked on the dashboard.
2. Add the TMB bot to your guild's Discord server using the link on that page. TMB needs the bot on your server to check members' access.
3. Enter the guild name, choose the Discord server, your WoW expansion, and then submit the form.

After registration, TMB opens Guild Settings. You can choose who may join and what members may see or edit. Share your guild's link when you are ready. See Guild settings and permissions for help with those choices.

You can register another TMB guild for a different supported expansion. Each registration has its own settings and records.

How do I sign out?

Select Sign Out in the site navigation.
