How to set up your guild on TMB

TMB uses your guild's Discord server: players must be on that server to access your TMB guild, and you can use their Discord roles to decide what they may see and do. TMB is very configurable. You can use the default configuration, or you can modify it to fit however you want to manage your loot.

Quick start

1. Create a Discord server for your guild if you don't already have one. You must own the Discord server or have Administrator permission on it to link TMB to it. Sign in to TMB with your Discord account.
2. Open Register Guild. Add the TMB bot linked on that page, fill in the form, and press Submit. The bot MUST be on your server for your guild members to join guild on TMB.
3. Optional: Link your Discord roles in the Guild Settings "Permissions" section. Choose who can join under Members, and which roles should have management permissions. If no Member roles are set, anyone on your Discord server can join.
4. Choose your settings and save. Use Guild settings and permissions to understand the settings.
5. Share your TMB guild link. Open your guild and copy its address from your browser. People on your Discord server who meet your role requirements (if you set any) can now join.

If your guild plays another supported expansion, you can register a separate TMB guild for it. Each registration has its own settings and records; it does not convert your existing guild.

Choose who can join (optional)

You can control who can join your guild on TMB. In your Guild Settings (top navigation bar > Guild > Settings) under Permissions, use Members to choose which Discord roles allow people to join your guild on TMB. If no Member roles are selected, anyone in your Discord server may join your guild on TMB.

The roles mapped to Guild Master, Officer, and Raid Leader can also join. Auditor role alone, however, does not grant entry.

Choose who can manage the guild (optional)

You can also control who can perform various actions such as editing other players' characters. In your Guild Settings (top navigation bar > Guild > Settings) under Permissions, choose which of your Discord roles should have the Guild Master, Officer, Raid Leader, and Auditor permissions on TMB. Your Discord roles can use any names you like: they do not need to match those names.

The guild owner is the person who registered the guild on TMB and is separate from the Guild Master role. Ownership can be transferred by an option near the top of guild settings. Giving someone Guild Master role does not transfer ownership to them.

Choose which loot features to use (optional)

Start by tracking loot history, and then add other features if or when you need them:

• Track loot history to record who received specific items. Being able to see a history of items recieved by players is useful for just about every guild that raids.
• Wishlists (optional) let players show the items they want to other people in the guild. This is useful if you want good communication between raiders and leadership.
• Prios (optional) (short for 'priorities') let your guild's leadership (Guild Master, Officer, and Raid Leader permissions) decide who is going to get any given item. You can do this for just the most important items, or you can do it for all items. Loot council guilds will almost always use this feature.

Wishlists and prios are independent. You can use either, both, or neither.

If you wish to disable wishlist or prios so that they no longer appear for your guild, you can do so in the guild settings via the Disable wishlists or Disable prios checkboxes.

If you use wishlists or prios, it is useful to review their settings within guild settings decide on how your guild will use them before asking people to build lists.

Invite your players (optional)

Players can join your guild simply by logging into TMB and selecting your guild. It should appear on their dashboard if they are in its Discord server and they have the proper role (if any) to join your guild on TMB. You can also copy the page address while you are viewing your guild on TMB and share it with them.

Ask them to create their character. If you or an officer has already added it, they should ask the officer to link that existing character to their member profile after they have joined instead of trying to make a duplicate. Character names are unique within your guild, and loot imports require an exact character name to match.

Use the audit log to see who did what

TMB records most actions taken within your guild, and stores them in the audit log (top navigation bar > Guild > Audit Log). Most actions can be viewed by anyone in the guild, but some (such as editing prios) are often restricted so that only guild leadership can see them.

This helps prevent players from cheating, and is very useful for looking up a history of what happened regarding a specific character, item, player, and so on.
