Loot import troubleshooting

On this page

After pressing Load Data on Loot > Assign Loot, read the load report and check the rows. Loading only fills the form; press Submit at the bottom to save the awards. For the full steps and addon instructions, see How to record loot after a raid.

A character is missing

Select the correct character in the recipient picker. If they are not in TMB yet, ask an officer to create their character, then return to the import. Importing does not create characters for you.

Skip items that don't have a character lets you save the other awards, but the skipped awards are not saved. See missing characters.

An item is missing or wrong

Use the item picker to select the correct item before submitting. Automatic matching needs an item ID; an item name alone is not enough. See what to check after loading.

The CSV will not load correctly

Export as CSV and copy the whole export, including the header row. For a custom file, check the supported column names; capitalization matters.

Loading another CSV replaces the unsaved rows already in the form. It does not add to them.

Some rows were skipped or left out

Check the load report. Recognized disenchant and vendor rows are skipped. TMB also reads only the first 150 source rows, including rows it skips. Split a larger file into parts of no more than 150 awards, keeping the header row in each part. Review and submit each part before loading the next. See import limits.

TMB says an award has already been imported

Check assigned loot history before trying again. Do not remove the Unique Import ID just to get past the error: the award may already be saved.

TMB does not catch every duplicate. If a submission reports failures, check what saved and retry only the missing awards. See duplicate import checks.

If you already saved a duplicate, wrong recipient, or incorrect date, follow How to correct a loot mistake.
