Guide: How to make your first wishlist

Wishlist statistics shows popular items from wishlists across TMB. Use it to see what people are listing, not as a best-in-slot guide. You do not need to sign in to view this page.

Where can I see popular wishlist items?

1. Open Popular wishlist items.
2. Choose your expansion, then your class.
3. Find your specialization and choose a role tab where available.

Each class/spec/role group shows up to 50 items, ordered by popularity. Characters without a recognized specialization or role do not contribute. No results found means there are no results to show for that group.

The number beside an item is its popularity count. Hover over the dungeon abbreviation to see the source name. Opening statistics through your guild still shows TMB-wide results, not just your guild's wishlists.

What time period do the statistics cover?

Most expansions use entries added in the last six months. Season of Discovery uses the last three months, with an additional phase-start cutoff.

The date that matters is when an entry was added. Moving an existing entry higher on a wishlist does not make it newly added for this calculation.

Results normally refresh once a day when someone visits the page. While an update is pending, TMB shows the last available results. If results have not been prepared yet, check back shortly.

Does the count mean that many players want the item?

No. The count comes from wishlist entries rather than unique players:

• One character can contribute entries from multiple numbered wishlists or repeated entries.
• Received and off-spec entries still count while they remain on a wishlist.
• Entries from archived characters and disabled guilds still count.
• An item with several loot sources counts each wishlist entry once, just like an item with one source.

All numbered lists can count, not just the current one. Private wishlists can contribute too, but the results do not name their owners or guilds.

The class, specialization, and role groups use the details recorded on the characters. They are not a check of whether each item is usable or suitable for that character.

Is the first item everyone's first choice?

No. The page orders items by counted popularity. It does not give more weight to an item because someone placed it at wishlist rank 1 instead of rank 10.

Popularity does not tell you an item's drop rate or who should receive it. A useful item may also fall outside the top 50.
