Language and display settings

Summary

Choose Language on your signed-in home dashboard and press Save to change your display language. Click the lock icon beside the site or guild name to turn Streamer Mode on or off. These are personal settings; Streamer Mode hides supported officer-note displays without deleting notes or changing permissions.

How do I change the language?

Both settings are saved on your TMB account and apply across the guilds you use. They are not limited to one browser tab.

1. Sign in and open the TMB home dashboard.
2. Find Language above Your Guilds.
3. Choose a language from the list.
4. Press Save.

TMB uses that language for translated interface text and supported item-name displays. Some features are only available in English, so you may still see English text.

Changing the language does not translate notes written by your guildmates or rename members, characters, or raid groups.

Can I search for an item by its English name?

Yes. In supported item pickers, such as the wishlist item search, you can search using English or the selected language where translated item names are available.

If a translated name does not find the item, try its English name. Check that you are working in the right expansion and select the correct item from the results.

This describes the item picker. Search boxes inside tables can work differently; they are covered with each table's controls.

How do I turn Streamer Mode on or off?

While signed in, click the small lock icon beside the site or guild name in the top navigation.

• A closed lock means Streamer Mode is on.
• An open lock means Streamer Mode is off.

Clicking the icon saves the change immediately and reloads the page. TMB shows a message confirming the new state. Guild pages can also show a Streamer mode ON link; click it to turn the mode off.

Save any form changes you want to keep before using the toggle, because it leaves and reloads the page.

What does Streamer Mode hide?

It hides officer notes on supported displays, including member and character profiles, guild item views, and raid-related views. Some note fields instead show Hidden in streamer mode.

The notes remain saved. Turning Streamer Mode off makes them available again wherever you have permission to view them.

Streamer Mode does not grant or remove permission. It also does not hide all guild information: names, public notes, wishlists, and prios can still be visible under the normal viewing rules.

It is not a general privacy switch for every page or downloaded file. Do not assume an export has been stripped of private information because Streamer Mode is on. See Exporting TMB data for export scope.

Why are officer notes still missing when the mode is off?

You also need permission to view officer notes. Turning Streamer Mode off does not give you that permission, and an empty note has nothing to display.

If you expect to see an existing note, check the lock icon first, then ask a guild officer to check your access. See Guild settings and permissions.

Does this change other people's settings?

No. Your language and Streamer Mode choices affect your account. Guild settings, such as wishlist privacy, control access for guild members and are separate.

Table filters and column toggles are also viewing controls, but their scope and saved preferences vary by page. Changing what you see does not change a saved wishlist rank or loot award.
